Financial Aid Funds

The Faculty Endowed FundThe Faculty Endowed Fund provides funds for faculty members to pursue continuing education. Salpointe partners with committed faculty members, providing funds for programs ranging from continuing education courses to the completion of post-graduate education.

Financial Aid EndowmentSalpointe’s Financial Aid Endowment provides tuition assistance to needy students. A named endowed fund may be established with a minimum gift of $5,000. Only the interest is used annually. Initial and future donations are permanently restricted in the financial aid endowment fund. Funds are commingled to maximize the return on investment, but the principal of each fund is tracked individually. As of June 30, 2013, the fund consists of $2,955,009 in permanently restricted assets.

Financial Aid Endowment gifts help us in our mission to educate students in their faith, in academic subjects, in service to our world community, and in personal growth.  One of our goals at Salpointe is to maintain high standards of excellence, and your support helps us to achieve this goal.

Named funds are recognized on a plaque in the school’s front lobby and are also listed in the annual report and Honors Night program each year. One or more students each year will benefit from the interest earned from your endowment.  As the endowment grows, so does the scholarship. Click here for a list of the existing Financial Aid Endowment Funds.  Click here to create or donate to a Financial Aid Endowment Fund.  For the Financial Aid Endowment Letter of Intent click here.

Merit Funds The Merit Scholarship Fund, established with a gift provided by a generous anonymous donor, provides financial aid assistance to incoming freshmen who score exceptionally high on Salpointe’s entrance test. Other individuals have established private merit scholarship funds as well. The Manley-Johnson Scholarships reward students with the top GPAs in the freshman, sophomore and junior classes. The Bene Ashton Fund recognizes four students for academic excellence. The Zach Morgan Award is presented to a senior athlete/leader committed to Lancer values and team work.
