Salpointe’s Manny Villa went 2-3 with 2 RBIs in Senior All-Academic Game

Manny Villa went 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs and 2 stolen bases in the AZ Fall Classics Senior All-Academic Game last night to help Team Black defeat Team Gray 10-8 in 10 innings. A senior at Salpointe, Villa played in the Junior All-Academic game last year.

Villa plays for the New York Yankees Scout Team in the off season and his club is taking part in the Senior Fall Classic taking place in Peoria this weekend.

The 2016 Junior All-Academic Games is scheduled for Oct. 20. The local baseball players trying out for that game are listed below.
