2008 Grad Earns a Gates Cambridge Scholarship

Michael Meaney '08 has just started his PhD at Cambridge as a Gates Cambridge Scholar, which is an all expenses paid graduate study only awarded to 100 emerging leaders from around the world.

Michael shares, "I am pursuing a PhD in Education, with a focus on the Economics of Education and Online Learning Models. This builds off of my time as a teacher in Phoenix with Teach for America and my time as an Innovation Fellow in President Crow's Office at ASU, where I worked on a number of educational technology projects. My work is grounded in the pursuit of social justice, which animated my activities as a student leader at Georgetown and Salpointe."
