Casa Alitas Drive and Service Hours
The Spanish Honor Society is working with Casa Alitas to help political asylum seekers and refugees from all over the world. We are collecting gently used winter clothes, shoes and backpacks. As Bishop Edward Weisenburger says: "Casa Alitas' migrant-aid effort, through Catholic Community Services, is an embodiment of the Gospel." We are moved to witness the gratitude of the migrant families, who often arrive at Casa Alitas having walked through the soles of their shoes. We will be taking donations until the end of the school year. Additionally, if any Salpointe student is looking to complete their volunteer hours, they are welcome to join us every Saturday from 9 a.m.-noon. Please contact Ms. Owens or Mejía-García for more information. For more information, click
