Salpointe Catholic High School accepts a limited number of International Students each school year. International student's applications are reviewed by the school's Admissions Committee and are accepted based on their academic and English qualifications. International students may apply only for the beginning of a school year (Fall semester only, no Spring semester applications).
International students must demonstrate strong English skills (TOEFL English proficiency exam required plus a Skype or Google Hangout interview is required) as all of the classes at SCHS are taught in English at an accelerated rate. The goal is to see all international students be successful at our academically rigorous school, hence the advanced English requirement.
For International Students, the Application Process has 4 parts:
The first step to becoming a Lancer is to complete an online application form. CLICK HERE to apply online. You will create your own account.
There is a $60 non-refundable application fee that is paid online.
Request Recommendations and Transcripts:
Salpointe Catholic uses online recommendation and transcript request forms.
Log into our myPointe system. When you log in, you can then fill out the recommendation and transcript request forms.
These are only available in our online system.
All International applicants are required to take the TOEFL English Proficiency Test - no other English proficiency tests accepted.
Salpointe’s code to receive these scores is 2782.
Student-Parent Interview (via Google Hangout or Zoom)
Students and Parents will interview with a member of the Salpointe Catholic High School community.
During the interview, if extra testing is needed, it will be communicated to the family.
If the Student is Accepted, SCHS will process the I-20 application if the international student requires an I-20 to apply for an F-1 Student Visa in their home country. The I-20 should take approximately 2 weeks to be received by our school. Once our school receives the I-20, it will be express mailed to the student's family. The I-20 may then be used to obtain the F-1 Student Visa in their home country. Note: the I-20 cannot be requested by our school unless the name and address of the home-stay family are provided to our Admissions Office.
