On Sunday, March 3 the Salpointe Parent Association and Salpointe Advancement held its annual Lady Lancer Brunch and Blessing at the beautifully sunny Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch. Guests were dazzled by the inner courtyard set-up at the new venue and counted their blessings that the event didn't take place over the snowy Rodeo Break the weekend prior!
Event co-chairs Rackel Gehlsen and Stepheny Walsh Keith '85, along with their committee, created a memorable day for over 200 Lady Lancers: grandmothers, mothers, daughters, alumnae and friends who attended a "Garden Party" themed morning of fun, friendship, prayer and inspiration.
The morning included music by Salpointe's String Orchestra led by Ross Helland, a performance by Salpointe's Choir led by Natalie Hall '11, and a blessing led by the beloved Sr. Jeanne Bartholomeaux S.C. '64.
This year's inspirational speaker was past Lancer parent, Sarah Smallhouse, a Tucson community leader and philanthropist. The 2019 Faith in Action award was presented to Peggie Felici Gessner, a past Lancer parent and Salpointe employee.
