Application Process

The application process at Salpointe Catholic is designed to be as simple as possible for the prospective parent.  Please follow the steps below and your student's file will be completed in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Incoming Freshmen - Class of 2023

    Step 1. Apply online:
    The first step to becoming a Lancer is to complete an online application form. CLICK HERE to apply online.  Once you apply and create an account in the Admissions Portal, you will then be able to go back and check your application checklist as items are received. Please make sure that you make a note of your username and password to make future logins easier.

    If you have a current student at Salpointe or are Alumni, please use the myPointe login information that you already have.  It is not necessary to create a new account.

    Once you are logged in, complete all steps of the online application and click submit.  There is a $60 non-refundable application fee that is paid online.
    Step 2. Complete all of the Checklist Items:
    Once the application has been completed and processed, you will need to complete all of the following checklist items.  Details for all of the Checklist items can be found once you log into the myPointe site. This is the same login information you created for the application.
    • 7th & 8th-Grade Transcripts
    • Principal or Counselor Recommendation
    • English Teacher Recommendation
    • Math Teacher Recommendation
    • Entrance Exam (HSPT) - December 8, 2018 @ 8:00 a.m. or Saturday, January 12, 2019 @ 8:00 a.m.
      • The best preparation to be successful on the entrance exam is to work hard in middle school. Students should get a good night's sleep before the test and eat breakfast. Some students find it helpful to become familiar with the format of the exam. However, the daily academic activity in middle school is adequate preparation for the exam.     • Student & Parent Interview - 1/14, 1/15, 1/16 (3:30 pm to 6:30 pm on all dates)
      • You do not need to RSVP for an interview.  Simply drop in on one of the dates listed above during the times listed.  The interviews take 10-15 minutes.
    **Financial Aid - You won’t know if you qualify unless you apply. The application for financial aid is separate from the application for admission, although the two application cycles do overlap.  Apply at www.fairapp.com and use school code 800 and school password ctso800.  Our financial aid application due date for maximum consideration is January 18, 2019.  Notification of awards will be sent with the Admissions letters.

    Step 3. Notification of Admission Status:
    Notification letters of acceptance, non-acceptance, or waiting list placement will be mailed and emailed on February 1, 2019.

  • Transfer Students

  • International Students

    Salpointe Catholic High School accepts a limited number of International Students each school year. International students applications are reviewed by the school's Admissions Committee and are accepted based on their academic and English qualifications. International students may apply only for the beginning of a school year (Fall semester only, no Spring semester applications).

    International students must demonstrate strong English skills (TOEFL English proficiency exam required plus a Skype or Google Hangout interview is required) as all of the classes at SCHS are taught in English at an accelerated rate. The goal is to see all international students be successful at our academically rigorous school, hence the advanced English requirement.

    Step 1. Apply online:

    All Items Must Be Translated Into English!
    • Copy of Passport
    • Copy of a Bank Statement
    • TOEFL English Proficiency Test - no other English proficiency tests accepted.  A minimum score of 68 is required to be considered for admission. Salpointe’s code to receive these scores is 2782.
    • Immunization Form
    • High School Transcripts
    • Principal or Counselor Recommendation
    • English Teacher Recommendation
    • Math Teacher Recommendation
    • Student & Parent Interview (Google Hangout or Skype) - This will be individually scheduled after we have received the student’s recommendation forms and high school transcripts.
    Step 3. Notification of Admission Status:
    This will be done after the student and parent interview is completed.
