Salpointe Mourns the Loss of 2013 Alumna

Prayers for the Pedrotty Family
The Salpointe community is mourning the loss of 2013 alumna, Madison Pedrotty, who was killed in a car accident on May 31, 2018. Madison was in the car with her brother, Dominic Pedrotty '15, who has a long road ahead to recover from injuries sustained in the crash. Madison graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and was pursuing a Ph.D. in molecular cancer biology at Duke. The loss of this bright light from the world has affected many who Madison made an impact on in her short life.

"Madison was a deeply faith-filled, peaceful and engaging soul. May the Lord embrace her with peace. Prayers for Dominic's healing and for the grieving hearts of the wonderful Pedrotty family," said Lynn Ossowski, Salpointe's college counselor.

"I taught Madison Spanish at Salpointe Catholic and she was a model student and a model human being. One of its brightest stars. The world is less bright with her passing. Love and condolences to Mrs. Pedrotty and family. I remember you all fondly. I pray that Dominic will recover fully and that the wonderful memories of that beautiful young daughter and sister will carry you in the palm of God's hand throughout this very difficult time and forward. I will play the song 'Go Light your World' in her honor and say a prayer for the repose of her soul. She brought this song to the Salpointe Kairos program when she was a leader. May God welcome her with open arms into his Kingdom. Peace and love to you," said Marci Harrington, retired Salpointe Spanish teacher.
