Salpointe Catholic High School Welcomes Class of 2022

Salpointe Catholic High School welcomed over 300 freshmen and transfer students as the school kicked off its 68th year providing a Catholic, college-prep education to the diverse population of southern Arizona.

To accommodate the increasing size of our student population, Salpointe welcomed several new faculty and staff members to the Lancer family. These talented, highly educated individuals join the high-caliber professionals who have already dedicated themselves to the education of Salpointe students.

"It's a great time to be a Lancer! Our faculty and staff are dedicated professionals, our curricular programs are first rate, our facilities are collegiate level, our students are energized, and our commitment to our Carmelite mission is tangible," said Kay Sullivan, President of Salpointe. "I encourage each and every family to become engaged here at Salpointe, cheering for your students as they pursue their passions!"

Salpointe is proud to welcome Fr. Emanuel Franco-Gomez to campus. Fr. Manu has done extensive research into the culture and design traditions of Latin America and is excited to join our family in Tucson. Br. Michael Joyce, O.Carm., and Br. Kevin Keller, O.Carm, have also returned to Salpointe for the second year of their internships. They will teach in our Theology Department on campus.

"Academics are now in full-swing," said Sr. Helen Timothy, school principal. "Sports practices cover every athletic field and court. Salpointe Lancers are 1,223 strong and ready to make the 2018-19 school year one to remember. Welcome back, Lancers!"
