Salpointe Names Gymnasium After George Kalil and Kalil Family

Mr. Kalil's generous donation to Salpointe will forever change the lives of Lancer students.
Salpointe Catholic High School hosted a reception on Friday, January 18, 2019, to honor and recognize Mr. George Kalil for his generous $1M donation to Salpointe.

During the ceremony, Salpointe officially named the gymnasium as the Kalil Family Gymnasium and named the court Kalil Court.

Mr. Kalil’s donation will allow Salpointe to air condition to the gymnasium as well as renovate some of the athletic facilities on campus as part of the Aspire Capital Campaign. The campaign is a $9.5M campus-wide renovation that will create the Salpointe Center for the Arts, construct six new classrooms, expand the STEM patio, and bring new lighting to the track, baseball and softball fields.

Mr. Kalil was joined by family and friends during the reception. He was joined on Kalil Court by Salpointe President Kay Sullivan, Principal Sr. Helen Timothy and Athletic Director Phil Gruensfelder.
