Congratulations to Salpointe's 2019 Volunteer of the Year!

The Volunteer of the Year Award goes to a member of our community who gives tirelessly to serve the Lancers.
Congratulations to Martha Chinnock! Martha and her husband Rob have two Lancer daughters, Amelia '21 and Abby '19. Martha has served the band and drama departments for the past five years.
Last year Martha volunteered to lead the renewed Salpointe color guard and has been the Color Guard Volunteer Coach the past two seasons. She is in her third year of organizing parent involvement for the marching band, including scheduling other parent volunteers and coordinating uniform upkeep.
For the drama department, Martha designed the programs for the last three plays, helps market the performances, and volunteers with set construction and tech week. She helps with the St. Genesius Guild for thespian parents as well.
Theater Director, Dana Milne expressed her immense gratitude for Martha's contributions to Salpointe. "Martha is amazing. She volunteers at every available opportunity for Band and Theater, spending summers assisting with band camp and her school weekends building sets and designing programs. In fact, Martha has worked so often throughout her years at Salpointe that she anticipates our needs often before we know them. Her strong organizational skills allow us to dedicate the maximum effort to developing the talents of our students, knowing the details are being masterfully managed. She approaches every task with a smile and a can-do attitude. Her dedication to Salpointe has enhanced the experience of our Lancer Fine Artists for the last 5 years. Thank you, Martha! We love working with you!"
In the greater Tucson community, Martha was the Davis-Monthan Officer’s Spouses Club President last year and continues to serve on the governing board. Under her leadership, the DM OSC awarded $40,000 for local scholarships, including three awarded to Lancers last Spring. Additionally, she volunteers at local schools with “Junior Achievement of Arizona”, sharing her passion for individual success and community involvement with school-aged children throughout the Tucson area. Finally, Martha and her employer, i3 Media Solutions, donate their time and talents with 100+ Women Who Care Tucson.
Thank you, Martha, and congratulations on being named Salpointe’s Volunteer of the Year!
