Catholic Schools Week

During Catholic Schools Week 2020, Salpointe Catholic joined the nation in celebrating the value and impact of Catholic schools. Recognizing the important contributions of Catholic education, we celebrated our vibrant Lancer community with this year's theme, "Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed."

The graphics above indicate some of the quantitative indicators of the importance of Catholic education. There are 23% more Catholic high school graduates who attend a four-year college than other types of schools, including other private schools. Catholic schools also provide $21 billion in savings to the nation each year, based on the average public school per-pupil cost of $11,841.

In celebration of Catholic Schools Week, we honored 83 students on Tuesday who distinguished themselves by modeling true Lancer values. The Lancers all gathered on Wednesday to celebrate Mass. Then on Thursday, we all went out to serve the Southern Arizona community by contributing over 9,200 hours of service. Finally, Friday was Teacher Appreciation Day!
