Letter to Salpointe Families Regarding Coronavirus - 3/13/20

Dear Salpointe Families,

The health and safety of our Salpointe students and employees continues to be our first priority as we face uncertain times. Vince Lombardi supposedly said, “Hope is not a strategy. Fear is not an option.” We are nonetheless hopeful that our community will be spared the significant spread of COVID-19 and simultaneously fearful that the worst is yet to come.

Therefore, we continue to consult with national and local health authorities as we perfect our preparedness plan. If we determine that a school closure is the best course of action, based on input from health care professionals, we will initiate home or distance learning. Our teachers are preparing for this possible outcome. Please click here to read the letter we sent to you on Wednesday.

If you determine that it is best for your child to stay home from school to reduce the risk of possible exposure to Coronavirus, please contact Mr. Patrick Hayes, Assistant Principal for Student Services. Mr. Hayes will work with you to contact your child’s teachers and continue your child’s education from home. Mr. Hayes can be reached at phayes@salpointe.org or 520-547-4332.

Salpointe has created a special webpage dedicated to keeping you informed about Coronavirus. Click here to learn more. In addition to including relevant Salpointe communications over the past few weeks, the webpage provides a wealth of resources from local, state and national authorities on the subject.

If you have any questions or concerns or need more information about Salpointe’s response to Coronavirus, please contact info@salpointe.org or call Kay Sullivan at 520-547-5878 or Jen Harris at 520-547-1952.

Have a safe weekend!
