Distance Learning to Continue Through January

January 12, 2021

Dear Salpointe Parents and Students,

In a continuing effort to keep our Salpointe students, families, faculty, staff and community healthy and safe, Salpointe will remain in distance learning through the month of January. This decision is fully supported by the Pima County Health Department and Arizona Department of Health Services, and the decision is in sync with most other school districts in Southern Arizona. We plan to resume hybrid learning on Monday, February 1.

This is not the model of education that we want for our Lancers. We look forward to a return to normalcy and hope that the distribution of the vaccine will help us to reach this goal sooner than later.

Salpointe cares deeply about the academic, social, physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of all Lancer students and their families. If you are in need of academic assistance, resources are available to all students: contact after school tutoring (tutoring@salpointe.org to sign up) or the Learning Lab (aholstrom@salpointe.org or tmccall@salpointe.org) or you can arrange one-on-one Google Meets with our teaching faculty. Additionally, please do not hesitate to contact class counselors or campus ministers with any questions or concerns as we get through these disconcerting times together. We are here for you.

Thank you for your support as we navigate the challenging situation facing our Southern Arizona community. Please stay healthy and safe.

Sincerely,

Kay Sullivan
President
