March President's Message

Dear Salpointe community,

Our Lancer students are back on campus for in person learning! For the first time since March 13, 2020, our campus is fully alive as students and faculty begin to taste what “normal” may soon feel like again. Our teachers and classrooms are ready for business and we look forward to fully re-engaging our award-winning fine and performing arts, competitive athletics, faith-strengthening ministry offerings and fun student activities programs.

I am so proud of the courage and resilience of our students. Living and learning in the midst of a global pandemic has been a tiring, frustrating challenge. Every aspect of life changed from sensory to digital. High school should be the time in our Lancers’ lives to explore their interests, chase their dreams, work towards their goals, build friendships that will last a lifetime, and yes, even question authority. Much of the signature Salpointe experience has been denied, especially for the Class of 2020, the Class of 2021, and for freshmen who have yet to experience the essence of Salpointe. It has been a long, tough haul.

But bolstered by prayer and supported by our community, we are survivors! Together, we are going to get through this with a greater sense of self reliance, self confidence and self awareness as well as a reliance on the love of family and friends. My hope is that we have garnered an unanticipated spiritual strength that will shield us against life’s hardships, yet awaken us to life’s precious moments.

Stay with us!

Kay Sullivan
