Senior Kairos Retreat After Graduation
A Senior Kairos retreat is being planned for the week after Graduation on May 20-23. This retreat is scheduled so that the quarantine protocol does not interfere with any graduation plans for the weekend prior.

We have sent the registration link to Seniors that have not been able to attend Kairos this school year. We are still limited in the number of participants we can accommodate, and will hold this retreat on-campus.

If you have any questions, or your senior did not receive the link for registration, please contact Campus Ministry at 520-547-4447.

On Tuesday morning, Sophia Baker talked about love and the greatest example that Jesus provided for us in loving others (The Greatest Love of All). Thursday morning, Diego Marquez spoke of the character and love Jesus had for us through his suffering and our need to do the same in our life (Falling and Rising). Follow the links to see the full messages!

You can see the video presentations as well as the slides for each presentation at Counseling Chats. Topics include: Selective College Admissions, the Common Application, Playing Athletics in College, Military Options in College and Naviance.

Congratulations to seniors in the Class of 2021 on their acceptances to 98 colleges and universities in the U.S. and abroad. As of today, seniors have been offered $12,450,580 in academic scholarships over four years of college. We look forward to hearing more news in the next week. You can see a list of colleges admitting our students at Class of 2021 College Acceptances.

Seniors: If you want to stay in Tucson for college, have an interest in business, and want a college experience that guarantees multiple internships in a Catholic education setting, you may be a great candidate for Catholic University’s program here in town. This BA in Management is affordable, giving students up to four semesters of internships and connecting students to gig work and CEO lectures as early as the first year. It is co-located on the PCC downtown campus and the Diocese of Tucson Pastoral Center with a hybrid program that only requires class 2-3 days per week. Interested families can join in a Zoom information session 7:00-7:45 p.m. on  April 6, 20, May 4, 18 or June 1, 15. You can see a five minute video about the program at Catholic University - Tucson and even hear about Salpointe graduate Braulio Quintero’s experiences at Salpointe HS Alumni Braulio. Contact admissions coordinator Kieran Roche at rochek@cua.edu.

As many colleges continue to use a test optional admissions policy, your college essays have a bigger impact on getting admitted to colleges out of state. Juniors who seek additional individualized writing instruction and college application coaching may wish to participate in a 4-day Kick-Start! College Application Essay Workshop this summer. The cost for 16 hours of instruction is $485 with some scholarships available. Choose from: May 24-27, June 1-4, July 30-Aug 2. Register at: KickStart Registration 2021.
