Class of 2021 Graduation Letter - April 21

April 22, 2021

Dear Parents,

Congratulations!  The Class of 2021 Graduation is right around the corner and we are excited to celebrate this extraordinary class of seniors.  Given the restrictions imposed on events by the COVID-19 pandemic, we are thrilled to be able to offer both the Baccalaureate Mass and the Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2021 at the Tucson Convention Center on Saturday, May 15 at 9:00 a.m.  We feel strongly that this ceremony will reflect the dignity of our traditional graduation program.  Please understand that we are required to follow the health and safety guidelines, including masks, as set by the TCC and the Pima County Health Department.

The TCC will be operating under capacity restrictions for many reasons, which means that seating will be severely limited.  To meet predetermined social distancing requirements, we are able to distribute only six tickets to each graduating senior.  Seating at the TCC will be arranged to accommodate 287 six-person pods--one for each graduating senior’s family, with all other areas off limits.  Seating pod selection is on a first come, first serve basis.  We sincerely ask for your understanding and cooperation in following these seating restrictions.  Do not remove any tape, use more than the six seats in your family pod, or share tickets, as this would disrupt the pod seating required by the TCC.  TCC security staff will be monitoring the seating.  Ticket packets will be distributed to the graduates, along with their caps and gowns, after school from 2:30 to 4:00 on Wednesday through Friday, May 5-7 in Foundation Hall.

To ensure no interruptions during the Baccalaureate Mass, we encourage you to attend both the Mass and Commencement ceremonies.  Regretfully, due to health and safety guidelines, families will not be able to meet with graduates on the floor of the arena at the conclusion of the ceremony.  Families should exit the TCC through the upper level doors, while the seniors will exit through the lower level doors.  Please plan to meet your student outside of the TCC.

Family members who cannot attend the ceremonies can view them via live-streaming.  Instructions for viewing the Mass and Commencement program will be posted on our website and on the Graduation Google Classroom.

For additional information on dates and times, please click here to view the graduation information letter sent in March. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, May 15 at 9:00 a.m. at the TCC to celebrate the Class of 2021!  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Sincerely,
