Senior Chromebook Information
The IT staff at Salpointe has emailed senior students very important information about their Chromebooks and their Salpointe Google account to ensure a smooth transition of their Chromebook and Google account data upon leaving Salpointe. We have provided information that will help seniors successfully remove the management software from their Chromebooks, and preserve any data in their Salpointe Google accounts that they wish to keep. It is very important that seniors read and understand the contents of these emails.

Students leaving Salpointe will have their Salpointe Google account removed on July 16, 2021. Once the account is removed, it is impossible for the student, or the school, to retrieve ANY data: emails, documents, etc. from their account. Seniors - please take a proactive approach to managing your Chromebook as directed, and download/save your account data so you don't lose any important information you intended on saving. Email Ellen Fisher at efisher@salpointe.org with questions.

After School Tutoring
Tutoring is available Monday-Thursday in Foundation Hall from 2:30-4:00p to help students with final exam preparations. Any student who is an at home learner and would like tutoring should make a request, that day, through tutoring@salpointe.org. The weekly schedule is as follows:

Monday
English, Chemistry and Math

Tuesday
English, Spanish and Math

Wednesday
English, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Biology and Math

Thursday

Parents, if you would like to see if your child is attending tutoring, go to myPointe→ Resources→ Tutoring→ Link at bottom of page. Students are listed by their ID number. If you have any questions, contact Mrs. Welchert at swelchert@salpointe.org.

Chromebook Pickup
All repaired Chromebooks must be picked up from Room 300 by Wednesday, May 12. If you have a Chromebook in for repair, please check your email to see if it’s ready for pickup. Email Mr. Hermes if you have any questions or to set up a time to pick up your device at mhermes@salpointe.org.

Outstanding Athletic Performance
The MaxPreps Cup ranks the top high school athletic programs across the country. After the winter sports season, Salpointe was ranked #32 nationally and #1 in the state of Arizona! In total, there are nearly 30,000 high schools in the U.S. who compete. A big congratulations to all of our coaches, student-athletes and outstanding Athletic Department heads, Mr. Phil Gruensfelder and Mr. Danny Preble.

Student Services

Health Office Medication Pick Up
As we approach the end of the school year, please keep in mind that all medication that is stored in the health office, including diabetic supplies, must be picked up no later than the last day of school. Any medication left behind will be destroyed as we cannot keep prescribed medications in the health office during the summer. A parent/adult must pick up medications as these cannot be released to students. Thank you!

Character Counts
In our first commentary this week on Wednesday, Christina Tellez talked of the importance of understanding how everything we do and say can influence others (Ways to Be a Better Person). Thursday morning, Diego Marquez read the final commentary for the year, reflecting on the years that have passed for seniors and offering a thought for moving forward (Graduation - A Future in Your Hands).
