Salpointe Weekly Peek - February 11, 2022

Happy Friday, Lancers!

This week's prayer was shared by Theresa Marquart, Manager of Parent Relations, Special Events and Planned Giving, entitled "Memorare":
Remember, O gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen. Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Pray for us.

Character Counts
The commentary topic on Wednesday was kindness. Stella talked about the discovery that it takes people about 21 days to get used to change. That same 21 days applies to forming positive habits (Kindness Takes Practice). On Thursday, Omar gave a gardening example about the quality of roses being based on the preparation of soil. Our ability to grow is dependent on being receptive to positive ideas and influences (Preparing for Growth). Follow the links to read the full commentaries!
