Salpointe Weekly Peek - April 8, 2022

Happy Friday, Lancers!

This week’s prayer is from Fr. Manu, O Carm.:
God of Mercy, our Lenten journey is ending. Give us the grace to approach the celebrations of Holy Week with an enlarged heart. Give us the grace to enter more deeply into the Paschal Mystery, and may life and peace redirect our hearts and the course of the world. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Pray for us.

Character Counts
The commentaries this week focused on preparation for Holy Week. On Wednesday, Kailie Simpson focused on putting bad days into perspective by comparing what Jesus freely went through for us on Good Friday (Having a Bad Day). On Thursday, Omar Monreal used a quote from Confucius about our greatest glory coming from not falling but always getting up. That segued into the example that Jesus provided on Good Friday: he fell three times but he always got up because of his love for us (Falling and Rising).  Follow the links to read the full commentaries!
