Salpointe Weekly Peek - May 6, 2022

Happy Friday, Lancers!

This week’s prayer is from Theresa Marquart, Manager of Parent Relations, Special Events and Planned Giving:
God of Goodness, I come into your presence so aware of my human frailty and yet overwhelmed by your love for me.
I thank you that there is no human experience that I might walk through where your love cannot reach me.
If I climb the highest mountain you are there and yet if I find myself in the darkest valley of my life, you are there.
Teach me today to love you more.
Help me to rest in that love that asks nothing more than the simple trusting heart of a child.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Pray for us.

Character Counts
On Wednesday, Kailie Simpson mentioned different things we can do to better ourselves. The focus was on how we communicate and to realize, especially from our own experience, that words really do hurt and we need to be positive (Ways to Be a Better Person). On Thursday, Omar Monreal talked about the things that are out of our control. What is in our control are our choices, changing our circumstances and how we treat others (Our Ability to Choose).
