St. Cyril
As of last year, under the direction of Bishop Edward Weisenburger, Salpointe no longer offers the Sacrament of Confirmation. Students interested in receiving sacraments should contact their parish to register for the preparation process there. If students are interested and not affiliated with a parish, they may register at St. Cyril Parish which is under the Carmelite leadership.
Registration for this year has continues through August 28, 2022. There will be an information meeting for parents and students on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 11:30 am in Nicholson Hall. Families may call 520-795-1633 for information regarding registration for St. Cyril sacrament preparation program this year. The preparation meetings will take place on Sunday mornings, starting on September 11 and confirmation will be celebrated in November.
Again, is it highly encouraged for Catholic Salpointe students to receive sacraments at their home parishes.
Student Services
Service Program
Students are required to complete 10 hours of service each year. For freshmen, this will mean completing 40 hours of service before graduation. In order to help monitor student hours and communicate opportunities, Salpointe uses an online program called x2VOL. To find out more about the Service Program and x2VOL, please use this
link to view information in the Parent/Student Handbook. Contact
phayes@salpointe.org with any questions.
After-School-Tutoring
Tutoring will start on Wednesday, August 31 and run every week, Monday-Thursday. Tutoring in Math, English, Science, Theology and Spanish will begin each day 10 minutes after dismissal, and run for 80 minutes. Students should report to Foundation Hall to receive free tutoring services. Attendance for tutoring can be viewed through myPointe to monitor students' participation.
Technology
Chromebook Repairs: Beginning this school year, all Chromebook repairs will be handled by the device owner. All new Salpointe-issued Dell Chromebooks come with a 4-year Pro-Support warranty that covers manufacturer defects and one accidental damage repair per school year. Most repairs are included in the warranty coverage, meaning they cost you nothing. If your Chromebook needs repair, please visit
this link for troubleshooting information and instructions on how to get the repair process started.
A limited number of loaner devices are available in room 300 for students who have already started a repair claim with Dell. A service request number is required in order to check out an IT loaner.
College Counseling
Seniors: Don't forget to finish your bragsheet assignment, which is due on August 22 in the Future Plans google classroom. Mrs. McCall will be in senior classes at the end of August to discuss college applications and timelines.
