Salpointe Weekly Peek - August 19, 2022

Happy Friday, Lancers!

This week’s prayer is from Mrs. Ardemis Martin, Salpointe Principal:

Dear Heavenly Father,
While we have faced challenges, you have been by our side every step of the way. May our faith in you continue to give us comfort and calm as we approach the new school year with our hearts filled with excitement and joy.
Bless over our students, may they build strong friendships, work towards academic goals and continue to make fond memories of their time at Salpointe.
And to our faculty, staff and administrative team, May you continue to remind us of our true mission of servant leadership. Give us strength to guide, educate and mentor our Lancers.
We thank you, praise you and adore you. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Pray for us.

Note from President Kay Sullivan
Dear Lancer families,

It's another great day to be a Lancer! Yes, even with our challenges, we are embracing the essence of our Catholic Carmelite mission, charism and culture. We were delighted to start school for freshmen and transfers this past Monday and for all students on Tuesday. We are graced with the commitment and collaboration of 140 faculty and staff and with the energy of 1271 Lancers.

Our students are focused on classes, activities, lunch, etc. as they should be! Modular classrooms and new lockers should be installed in the next week or two, but in the meantime, we are fully functioning! Most classrooms are being utilized every hour of the day and teachers are traveling as needed to accommodate our students.

Note from Principal Ardemis Martin
Congratulations on the first week of school. As a new Lancer, I am beyond impressed with everyone on this campus, most importantly our students. The respect towards each other and their teachers is outstanding.

It is so wonderful to feel the energy our students bring to campus, and the smiles they have put on our teachers' faces. And may I say how wonderful they all look! Our dedication towards the dress code has really paid off. Please look for a clarification email from our deans coming out today.

Thank you for your support and confidence in Salpointe as we have navigated opening our doors just one week later than previously scheduled. I am beyond grateful for your warmth and feel blessed beyond belief to be your principal.

Have a great weekend,
Mrs. Martin
