College Decisions and Staying Positive
Seniors are in the midst of receiving decisions from colleges! Many students are excited about their options for next year. Many students are also surprised by colleges they have not been admitted to. Admission rates are down at most selective colleges across the country, as they have been trending the past few years. If you are denied from a selective college, please do not question your academic ability or lose sleep trying to figure out what was “wrong” with you, your application or what you should have done differently. Admission decisions do not translate to “We don’t think you are smart” or “You could not be successful here.” Your future is bright and we believe in you! - Insight from Rick Clark, Senior Admissions Officer at Georgia Tech.
