Financial Aid EndowmentSalpointe’s Financial Aid Endowment provides tuition assistance to needy students. A named endowed fund may be established with a minimum gift of $5,000. Only the interest is used annually. Initial and future donations are permanently restricted in the financial aid endowment fund. Funds are commingled to maximize the return on investment, but the principal of each fund is tracked individually. As of April 2015, the fund consists of $3,410,683 in permanently restricted assets.
Financial Aid Endowment gifts help us in our mission to educate students in their faith, in academic subjects, in service to our world community, and in personal growth. One of our goals at Salpointe is to maintain high standards of excellence, and your support helps us to achieve this goal.
Named funds are recognized on a plaque in the school’s front lobby and are also listed in the annual report and Honors Night program each year. One or more students each year will benefit from the interest earned from your endowment. As the endowment grows, so does the scholarship. Other individuals have established private merit scholarship funds as well. The Manley-Johnson Scholarships reward students with the top GPAs in the freshman, sophomore and junior classes. The Bene Ashton Fund recognizes four students for academic excellence. The Zach Morgan Award is presented to a senior athlete/leader committed to Lancer values and team work.
