This past weekend was a profound blessing for the Salpointe Catholic High School community as Deacon Roberto Reyes was ordained to the priesthood, becoming Fr. Roberto Reyes. The ordination was a deeply moving celebration of faith, filled with the beauty of tradition, prayer, and God’s grace. From the laying on of hands to the warm welcome into the brotherhood of priests, the ceremony left an indelible mark on all who were present.
Fr. Roberto has long been known for his quiet joy and the way his presence brings light to those around him. Following this weekend, that joy now carries the depth of his vocation, sustained by the love, prayers, and support of countless family, friends, and faith communities who have walked with him on his journey.
The Salpointe family was especially blessed to witness Br. Victor’s participation in the Mass, adding to the profound significance of the celebration. For many, it was an unforgettable day—one that will be cherished as a milestone both in Fr. Roberto’s life and in the life of the Salpointe community.
On Sunday morning, the celebration continued as Fr. Roberto celebrated his first Mass at Our Lady Queen of the Americas Catholic Church, before returning home to Tucson to begin his ministry.
Salpointe Catholic High School is grateful to Fr. Roberto for sharing this sacred moment with us and looks forward to the many ways his priesthood will continue to inspire and impact the lives of students, families, and the broader community.
