Cade McGee ‘21 was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 9th Round of the 2024 Major League Baseball Draft.
McGee spent his first two college years at Gonzaga before transferring to Texas Tech. McGee was named West Coast Conference freshman of the year and was named a freshman all-American by Baseball America in 2022. He started all 20 games he appeared in in 2023, which included pitching an inning and finishing a triple shy of the cycle in a February 20 game in Lubbock against the Red Raiders.
