The Lady Lancer Basketball program successfully launched the inaugural Lancer Cactus Clash, welcoming 12 teams from across Arizona for three days of high-level competition. Programs from Prescott, Paradise Honors, Pinnacle, Notre Dame Prep, Casteel, Dobson, Kellis, Nogales, Tucson High, Mica Mountain, and Catalina Foothills traveled to Tucson to compete, sharpen their skills, and prepare for region play and the postseason.
The Lady Lancers delivered an impressive showing throughout the tournament, earning victories over 4A powers Prescott and Paradise Honors, 6A Open Division contender Pinnacle, 5A Catalina Foothills, and 2025 5A runner-up Kellis High School to claim the Lancer Cactus Clash championship.
Despite graduating eight key seniors last season, the Lady Lancers have reloaded with a talented and energetic group of young athletes, led by standout juniors Ary Kollasch and Jayci Nelson. Their leadership and intensity set the tone for a promising season ahead.
Coach Luevano and Lancer Athletics look forward to growing the Lancer Cactus Clash in the years to come, with plans to attract elite programs from across the Southwest and continue building one of Arizona’s premier girls basketball events.
