Parent Forum: November 19

November 6, 2025

Dear Salpointe Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to host our third Parent Forum of the year on Wednesday, November 19 at 6:30 p.m. in Foundation Hall. We hope you can join us for an engaging discussion of The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt.

This thought-provoking book examines the rising mental health challenges among young people in the 21st century. Haidt explores how the shift from “play-based” childhood experiences to “phone-based” interactions has contributed to increased anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.

As a reminder, all parents are required to attend at least one Parent Forum each year in order for your student to participate in school dances later in the year. We will be having one more forum on Wednesday, April 15.
As we continue to explore ways to partner with our parents in educating our young people, we believe these newly revived forums will be a valuable resource for our entire community.

Sincerely,

Larry Chilgreen
Director of Counseling
