Salpointe Catholic High School’s new school year includes new learning opportunities for students

From an expanded wellness program to athletics and academics, Salpointe Catholic High School is kicking off the school year with new opportunities and high hopes.

“That center includes a wellness instructional kitchen, and so we have a wonderful new chef coming in who used to work at Mariva, and he is gonna talk about how to create meals that fuel the body and the mind and provide those skills to our students,” says Salpointe President Jennifer Harris.

Academically, the school is in its third year of implementing a block schedule, which provides students with more flexibility and reduced stress.

“These block schedules allow moments where they have a little bit more quiet. Turn off that part of their brain and explore some other interests that they have or spend time with their friends and classmates,” says Harris.
