Salpointe film students have earned four Student Production Award nominations from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) Rocky Mountain Southwest, recognizing outstanding student work in film and television production.
The nominated projects represent a range of creative work produced by Salpointe students. The Studying was nominated in the High School Fiction – Short Form category, with Jack Ryan ’27 credited as writer, David Jimenez ’27 as director, and Ian Morelock ’27 as editor. Intervention earned a nomination in High School Talent – Performer, recognizing Jack Ryan ’27. Faith on the Field was nominated in the High School Arts/Entertainment/Cultural Affairs category, with Eileen Halchak ’27 credited as producer. Salpointe News: 75th Anniversary received a nomination in High School Talent – News or Sports, recognizing reporter Sadie Maddox ’27.
The nominations highlight the creativity, dedication and countless hours Salpointe’s film students have invested in their work. The projects were supported by the leadership and collaborative efforts of the Salpointe Film Club, including David Jimenez, Creative Producer and Co-President; Eileen Halchak, Line Producer and Co-President; Ian Morelock, Editor; Jack Ryan, Associate Producer and Vice President; Roman Schoenhage, Associate Producer; and Tony Jin, Co-Producer.
The Student Production Awards Ceremony will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Chateau Luxe in Phoenix, where Salpointe’s nominees will be recognized alongside other outstanding student filmmakers from the region. You can view the full list of nominees here.
