General Announcements

Congratulations to Our National Merit Commended Students
Dear Salpointe Community,
On behalf of Salpointe Catholic High School, it is my honor to announce that Carolina Gonzalez, Liana Tang, Colt Koontz, and Michelle Yap have been named Commended Students in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Across the nation, approximately 34,000 Commended Students are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although these students will not continue in the 2026 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, they placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the competition by taking the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
Being named a Commended Student is a remarkable achievement and reflects outstanding potential for academic success. We are incredibly proud of these students for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence.
Please join me in congratulating Carolina, Liana, Colt, and Michelle on this prestigious recognition!
With pride and gratitude,

Ardemis Martin
Principal
