Salpointe Catholic High School to Retire Kelly Pierce ’99 Soccer Jersey

Salpointe Catholic High School will honor the legacy of Kelly Pierce ’99 by retiring her soccer jersey, #14, during a brief ceremony on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 5:40 p.m. The ceremony will take place on campus at Ed Doherty Stadium and will be attended by members of Pierce’s family.

Pierce, who passed away in 2025, left an indelible mark on Salpointe Catholic High School as both a standout student-athlete and an exceptional coach. As head coach of the Lancers, she led the program to six state championships in the past eight seasons, establishing one of the most successful eras in school history. Her leadership, passion for the game, and deep commitment to her players shaped not only championship teams, but also generations of young women.

Retiring her jersey is a lasting tribute to her extraordinary contributions and the legacy she leaves behind.

The jersey retirement ceremony is open to the Salpointe community, media, alumni, family, and friends.

Salpointe Catholic High School is proud to honor Kelly Pierce ’99 and ensure her impact on Lancer athletics and the broader community is forever remembered.
