Salpointe Weekly Peek – August 15, 2025

Weekly Prayer

Mr. Ptak, Director of Campus Ministry:

Today, on the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we offer this prayer of praise and petition in celebration of the new school year:

Father in heaven,
all creation rightly gives you praise,
for all life and all holiness come from you.
In the plan of your wisdom
she who bore the Christ in her womb
was raised body and soul in glory to be with him in heaven.

As we begin this new school year, may we follow Mary’s example:

Grant us a grateful and generous spirit, that we may see opportunities in the face of new challenges.
Help us, in faith and joy, to say yes to all you have in store for us.
Fill us with your presence, that our hearts and minds may be open to new teachers, new teammates, new friends, and most of all, a new relationship with your son, Jesus Christ.
We ask this through the same Christ our Lord. Amen. Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, pray for us.

General Announcements

Starting Aug. 18: Positive Balance Needed for Lunch
Dear Families,
Beginning Monday, August 18, all student MySchoolBucks accounts must have a positive balance in order for students to access the cafeteria servery. This quick balance check ensures that students have funds in their MySchoolBucks accounts and can pay for their lunches.
We have been practicing this procedure for the past two weeks, and will now begin full implementation. This change is intended to help the school avoid carrying unpaid lunch balances moving forward and keep the price of lunch as affordable as possible for our families.
If your family is experiencing financial difficulty, we will work with you to explore available funding or assistance options for your student.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your ongoing support of our school community.

Sincerely,

Ardemis Martin, Principal
Todd Schulte, Director of Operations
Early Dismissal/Leaving Campus
If your student needs to leave campus early, please notify the Attendance Office at least two hours in advance to allow time for processing. You can call 520-327-1990 or email attendance@salpointe.org.
To ensure the safety of all students, the following procedures must be followed:
  • A parent or guardian must provide prior notification to the Attendance Office before a student may leave campus.
  • Students are not permitted to leave campus without clearance from either the Attendance Office or the Health Office.
  • Parents may not remove a student from campus without checking in through the Attendance Office first.
  • Students who are being picked up during the school day must report to the Attendance Office (Student Services Center) to receive a dismissal slip.

Seniors

Graduation Program Update
Dear Seniors and Parents,
In the past, our graduation program has listed every college and university to which each student was accepted. While we remain deeply proud of our seniors’ accomplishments and the many acceptances they have earned, this year we will be making a small change to ensure our program celebrates every graduate in a meaningful and balanced way.
Listed with each graduates name will be the college or university he or she plans to attend. We will also share the collective list of all colleges and universities that have offered admission to our Class of 2026. We will continue to highlight our Lancer Legacy students, as well as those who have earned merit scholarships, multi-sport athletes, Salpointe Scholars, and those attending Catholic Colleges or Universities.
This update allows us to keep the focus on the collective success of the class while honoring the unique paths of each graduate. Thank you for your support of this change and for helping us create a celebration that uplifts every member of our senior class.
With pride in our Lancers,

Jennifer Harris, President

Ardemis Martin, Principal
