Weekly Peek – February 20, 2026

Weekly Prayer

Compassionate Savior, During this time of Lent, I recall that in the desert You overcame temptation. When I am tempted to do nothing additional and nothing different in my faith life, Help me to sacrifice sameness To more closely follow You. Amen. Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, pray for us.

General Announcements

Spring Parent/Teacher Conferences
We invite all families to join us for Parent/Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, February 24 from 5-7 p.m. in Kalil Family Gymnasium and Alumni Hall. This is a valuable opportunity to connect with teachers, celebrate student progress, discuss concerns, and partner together to support continued growth and success. View flyer here. We look forward to seeing you there!
40 Days of Giving is Here!
Our 40 Days of Giving campaign is underway and runs now through April 2. This year, we are partnering with St. Peter and Paul School, with all donations benefiting the Ronald McDonald House and the families it serves in our community. To add some friendly competition, seniors and sophomores will team up against juniors and freshmen for a chance to win a free cozy day.
Lent invites us to grow in prayer, sacrifice, and generosity. During this season, we give not for recognition, but out of love, choosing compassion in meaningful and tangible ways.
View the wish list on the flyer here. For questions, please contact Ms. Uribe or Ms. DiChristofano. Every item makes a difference.

Salpointe Confirmation Preparation Update
Salpointe has received permission from the Diocese of Tucson to partner with local parishes in offering Confirmation preparation for Catholic sophomores who have been baptized and received First Holy Communion. Beginning in 2026–2027, students seeking preparation at Salpointe must enroll in the “Sophomore Theology with Confirmation” course, which integrates Confirmation prep into the regular theology curriculum. Students must remain registered with a local parish to receive the sacrament.
Special registration requests will be accepted through May 1, 2025. A $50 materials fee will be added to tuition. Email confirmation@salpointe.org for details or visit the Campus Ministry page here for more information.
Daily Mass and Prayer
All are welcome to join us for daily morning prayer in Salpointe’s Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Chapel. Campus guests are asked to check in at the Glenn Street gate and the front office before proceeding to the chapel.
Daily Mass is celebrated Monday-Friday from 7:30-8:00 a.m. Mass is not offered on all-school Mass days, late-start schedules, or days when school is not in session.

Juniors

Get Out of Town Workshop Invitation
We are hosting an upcoming Get Out of Town Workshop for students interested in applying to colleges out of state and navigating the college planning process. Two sessions will be offered this spring on March 8 and April 12. While the presentation is geared toward juniors, students and parents from any grade level are welcome to attend.

February College Admissions Newsletter
Dear Juniors and Parents,
Welcome to the final semester of junior year. We are excited to begin working more closely with our juniors as they start focusing on their plans for life after high school. Ready or not, it is their time to begin thoughtfully considering what comes next.
We have compiled important information to help guide you through the college planning process.
ACT for Juniors
Juniors, mark your calendars. The ACT will be offered on campus on April 24 from 8-11 a.m. in Alumni Hall. Taking the ACT as a junior helps establish a baseline score, reduces test-day stress, and supports college planning in a familiar environment. Registration is required. View flyer here.
