When do I eat lunch?
Salpointe has two lunch sessions. To determine which lunch period is yours:
Look at your class schedule
If your 4th period class is in rooms 117, 200-213, 701-714, 800-812, Gym and weight room, you have first lunch and 2nd 4th period
If your 4th period class is in any other room (300s, 400s, 500s, or 600s), you have second lunch and 1st 4th period
Full cafeteria services (including breakfast at 7:40 a.m.) begin Tuesday, August 10. Your ID card is used as the “debit card” to purchase meals. Remember to load the ID card (click
here for instructions). You may also bring a sack lunch.
Spirit Store
The store will reopen Monday, August 2. Check the
website for hours. Parking passes will be issued using the same online process as in years past. Students need to fill out a
Parking Pass Request form on the Spirit Store website and pay $20 for a one-year pass. Students can come to the Spirit Store to pay for and pick up parking passes from Monday, August 2 to Thursday, August 5, as well as during regular store hours throughout the school year. Students must have a 2021-22 parking pass to park on campus. All cars must display a parking pass by Monday, August 23, 2021.
Security
Student drop off for the 2021-2022 school year will be limited to the Copper Street entrance, Glenn Street gate and Mountain Avenue gate.
NO STUDENT DROP OFF OR PICK UP WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE CHERRY/COPPER EMPLOYEE PARKING LOT.
Regarding student pick-up: Please do not arrive for student pick-up any earlier than ten minutes prior to dismissal. Doing so adds unmanageable traffic congestion in the parking lots resulting in overflow onto city streets. Tucson Police will issue citations for traffic hazards created on city streets.
Please note: Vehicles exiting from both Glenn Street and Mountain Avenue parking lots after school will be “right turn only.”
Student pick-up after school will continue to be available along Cherry Avenue on the east side of campus and Copper Street on the south. Students being picked up in either the Glenn or Mountain lot need to safely find and move to the vehicle that is picking them up and not wait until the vehicle moves up in line to meet the student.
Salpointe Catholic sincerely appreciates your understanding and cooperation with this policy as it is in the best interest of student safety. Thank you for cooperating to keep our students safe and secure!
Counseling Department
The Director of Counseling will be available starting on July 26 and the class counselors will be available starting on August 2.
