    Step Up Day for 8th Graders

    Step-Up Day - December 1, 2023, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

    We invite all 8th-grade students who are interested in attending Salpointe Catholic, to join us for Step-Up Day. This yearly event offers a chance for 8th-graders to explore life as a Lancer by spending a day on our campus. During this time, prospective students will have the opportunity to try out a typical class schedule, enjoy a complimentary lunch, experience Lancer-style entertainment, and receive a free Lancer t-shirt. This is a great way for prospective students to see if Salpointe Catholic is right for them!

    Entrance Exam - Current 8th grade students

    All current 8th graders applying to Salpointe Catholic must take the entrance exam.  The entrance exam will be taken at Salpointe Catholic High School.  Students must bring their own computer or tablet.  CLICK HERE to sign up for the exam.

    Student-Parent Interviews - Class of 2028

    The interviews are required for all prospective students.  The student and at least one parent/guardian need to attend.  Other family members are invited to attend, but it isn't required.

    The Parent-Student Interviews take place on January 16, 17, 18, 2024, from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.  The interviews take about 10 minutes.  You do not need to RSVP for the interview, simply drop-in on one of the dates listed between 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm.

    Recommendation Forms and Transcripts Due - Class of 2028

    Salpointe Catholic communicates with all middle schools to get these completed.  Please view your student's online checklist in myPointe to request transcripts and recommendations.  Parents can also see when these have been received by Salpointe Catholic through the myPointe system.

    Admission Decision Notification - Class of 2028

    For the Class of 2028, students who have completed the online Application, taken the Entrance Exam, and have completed other parts of the checklist; their decision will be posted on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 4:00 pm.  Log into myPointe to see the decision.

    Transfer Students are notified individually.

Salpointe students come from varied backgrounds. Today's student body of 1,300 mirrors the ethnically diverse population of Southern Arizona. Half of our students come from Catholic K-8 schools and half from public, charter and other private schools. About 75% of our students are Catholic and 25% are of other faiths. More than half of Salpointe students receive financial aid.

    Members of the Class of 2023 earned more than $25M in merit scholarships and were accepted to over 200 colleges, universities and military academies!
