Salpointe Catholic Education Foundation

The mission of the Salpointe Catholic Education Foundation is to support the educational, moral, scientific, artistic and athletic endeavors of the Salpointe community. The Foundation has touched the lives of generations of Lancers. Incorporated in 1984, the Foundation was blessed with 97 charter members who donated $120,000 to create an endowed fund.

Today, the Foundation has grown to over 737 members who have made gifts of between $1,000 and $50,000. The Foundation's total assets, including endowment and unrestricted funds, is approximately $2.3M. Since 1984, the SCEF has approved grant requests of almost $3.5M to enhance the educational experience of Lancers. Some highlights of the Foundation’s impact include funding campus-wide wifi, STEM equipment and programming, digital photography lab, new transportation vans, theater upgrades, and most significantly, the gift of $1.5M to build Foundation Hall which serves as an all-school cafeteria and multipurpose space for our frequent community events, and, most recently, a $500,000 pledge to the Aspire Capital Campaign.

The Foundation raises funds in a variety of ways:

  • Membership

All families and friends of Salpointe are encouraged to become members of the SCEF.  Lifetime memberships are granted with a gift of $1,000, payable at once or over one year.  Membership upgrades are always encouraged! The initial membership donation of $1,000 goes directly to the endowed fund, and as such, provides long-term support for the mission of Salpointe. Members are publicly recognized in perpetuity on the SCEF Wall of Donors for your total Foundation giving as well as listed online and in Salpointe's Annual Report. CLICK HERE TO DONATE OR JOIN!

  • Annual Gala

Since 1984, the SCEF has produced an annual gala fundraising event to benefit the Foundation and ultimately the Lancers.

The 2020 Gala is set for Saturday, April 4 at Cathedral Square in downtown Tucson! Guests will enjoy a night of dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions and student performances in support of Salpointe! Please visit the Gala webpage for information on tickets, sponsorships and event details.

Salpointe's 2019 Swanky Affair Gala at the Tucson Convention Center raised more than $80,000 to benefit the Lancers! Event chair Jennifer Barner and co-chair Kristin Tomlinson and their fantastic committee created an evening to remember.
