Technology

In 2015, Salpointe officially became a Google school and adopted a 1:1 device initiative using Chromebooks for every student and faculty member at the school. Every student is required to purchase a Chromebook at the start of their freshman year, which is theirs to keep upon graduation.
The mission of the Salpointe Catholic High School 1:1 Chromebook initiative is to leverage the power of technology to support the 4Cs of 21st Century Learning: communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. These 4Cs are the guiding principles behind our School Wide Learning Outcomes and our Digital Literacy Goals for Students. Access to digital tools and curriculum will prepare our students for future success complimented by their Salpointe Catholic High School education grounded in Carmelite and Lancer values.

Salpointe freshmen are required to complete a half-credit, or one semester, of Career and Technical Education. This project-based course familiarizes students with a wide varisty of technical applications as they build their career portfolio project using the Naviance College & Career Readiness application. 21st Century skills and digital citizenship are emphasized throughout the course.
