Student Body Receives Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award
On November 15, 2019, the student body of Salpointe Catholic High School was honored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) on their 31st annual National Philanthropy Day. Nominated by Charlotte Harris, the Lancers received the Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award.
Service-learning is integrated throughout all four years of the curriculum. Students, faculty and staff alike participate in community service projects such as the school-wide IMPACT program. Every Lancer participates during our annual IMPACT days, traveling to locations across Southern Arizona, including Casa Alitas, Habitat for Humanity, Kino Border Initiative, Tucson Clean and Beautiful, and many more. In two days alone last year, 1,341 Lancers completed almost 20,000 hours of service at 125 locations. See some of the service projects here.
