March 17, 2020
Dear Lancer Parents, Guardians and Students,
Thank you for your patience and support as we adjust our Salpointe schedule for the next several weeks. Please know that as this rapidly evolving situation changes, we will keep you informed if we need to revise our current plan.
We added a “Spring Break” from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20. On Monday and Tuesday, students were encouraged to pick up their books, Chromebooks, chargers, etc. and teachers prepared to electronically deliver educational content.
Distance or home learning commences on Monday, March 23 and extends until Thursday, April 9.
Click here for additional information as to student and teacher responsibilities and expectations. Lancers, we know that we can count on you to participate as much as possible and to exercise digital decorum as we move forward with distance learning.
Easter Break will take place as planned from Friday, April 10 through Sunday, April 19. Regular on-campus classes will resume on Monday, April 20 unless otherwise noted.
We want to call your attention to a few key points:
Parents and students have access to requirements, expectations, and assignments through Google Classroom (you should have received an email invitation and can choose to get daily or weekly summaries) and MyPointe. If a student is sick and cannot participate in distance learning, please contact the Attendance Line (520-327-1990).
This too will pass, but in the meantime we at Salpointe will do our part to limit the spread of the outbreak in our school and in the Tucson community. We Lancers will come together and do whatever it takes to keep our students, families, employees and community safe.
In closing, we wish you a Happy St. Patrick’s Day. Enjoy the next few days with your family.
