The College Board announced this week that they will discontinue the SAT Subject Tests and the optional essay section of the SAT. The SAT will still be given as usual. Some colleges have turned to "test optional" admissions and so they don't require the SAT or ACT. Other colleges still require one of these tests for admissions or to be considered for academic scholarships. Mrs. Ossowski recommends that our juniors take both the SAT and the ACT before school starts in August, just to be sure that they are not losing out on any opportunities.
