General Announcements

Blackbaud ID receiving modern look
A modern and attractive Blackbaud ID page will appear for anyone who signs into MyPointe after April 22, 2024.
 
If you sign in using your email, the password will automatically migrate when you sign in. If you have opted to enable multi-factor authentication (MFA), you will be prompted to set up MFA again and must do so before your password will be migrated. If you sign in with Google or Apple, you will be prompted to reauthorize Blackbaud to access your name and email.
 
The new sign-on page after you enter your email on the MyPointe Page will also look different and you will need to click on the box that corresponds to how you sign in. For example, students use their Google Account to authenticate their login to MyPointe. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Jeff Mounts at 520-547-5906.
 
Upcoming college visits on Campus
The Catholic University of America - Tucson, will be here on Wednesday, April 24 at 2:30 p.m. to talk with interested students. The Peace Corps Prep Program from the University of Arizona will be on campus on May 1 during the Community Period. Please register in Scoir or contact Mrs. McCall if you are interested in an upcoming visit.

Seniors

Senior College Decisions
Get ready for Lancer College Day on May 1st - Wear jeans or shorts and a T-shirt or sweatshirt representing your future college. Keep your college counselor updated with all college decisions. Remember to 1.) mark your acceptances, denials and wait-list decisions in Scoir, and 2.) send a copy of college decisions and academic scholarships to Mrs. McCall or college@salpointe.org. This information is tracked closely and needed by May 1st for graduation!
 
Senior Slideshow
Attention Class of 2024 Parents and Students - It is time to send in your photos for the Senior Slideshow for our banquet at the end of the year. We are asking you to submit three photos: a baby photo, a high quality senior portrait or photo and a photo of you with friends.
 
Please submit your photos to this form.
 
The deadline for these submissions is Friday, April 26th.

A Night Under the Stars -- Prom Information
Get ready for A Night Under the Stars Prom!
 
What: Prom! A night of desserts, dancing and memories.
 
When: Sunday, April 28th, from 8:00-11:00 p.m. *Doors open at 8:00 p.m. *No entry past 9:00 p.m.
 
Where: Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, Kiva Ballroom *7000 N. Resort Dr. Tucson, Arizona, 85750
 
Who: Open to all Juniors and Seniors and APPROVED guests. Click HERE for the Guest Permission Form. Guest forms are due to Mrs. Lechuga in room 412 or the Student Services Center by the end of the day on April 24th.

What to Wear: Click HERE for the Prom Dress Code. All students and guests must follow the dress code. Any students not in the dress code will be sent home and your parents will be informed.

Kickstart U College Application Workshop
Do you need a “Kickstart” on Your College Application Essay? The KICKSTART U College Application Workshop is an innovative program designed to help students tell their unique stories to the colleges they aspire to attend. Our program employs proven strategies for developing a winning application packet. Our workshop size is limited to 12 or fewer participants to ensure that all students receive the attention they deserve. Our program is designed to meet the needs of students who intend to apply to out-of-state schools and competitive universities and programs.

Financial Aid

Financial Aid Independent Review (FAIR) - 24/25 School year - Applications now open!
You can apply to FAIR at www.fairapp.com using Salpointe's School Code: 800 and School Password: ctso800. The deadline to apply is April 20, 2024. Please note: although applications are submitted through FAIR, all funds come from Catholic Tuition Support Organization (CTSO). Please be sure to select the correct school year when applying.

Arizona Leadership Foundation (ALF) - now accepting applications for 24/25!
Arizona Leadership Foundation offers Low Income and Disabled/Displaced tax credit scholarships.
Please utilize the ALF Online Portal to submit your scholarship application. 2023 Federal Income Taxes (IRS Form 1040) are required with each application. If filing an IRS extension, please view the tip sheet for additional directions. Incomplete applications for both programs will be rejected. The Tip Sheet and Scholarship Flyer provide additional information. Supplemental Forms can be found on the ALF website, click HERE. If eligible for both Low Income and Disabled/Displaced, an application must be completed for each program. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact ALF:

Fine Arts

Congratulations Ben Teller '25
Congratulations to Maroon & Gold Jazz Band pianist, Ben Teller '25! Earlier this year, Ben participated in a competition to play a concert at Carnegie Hall. After two rounds of auditions for an international panel of judges, he was one of the few selected to perform in the upcoming season at Carnegie Hall. Congrats, Ben!
 
Spring Fine Arts Festival
Join us for an evening of music and art for the annual Spring Fine Arts Festival on May 1, 2024 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The Spring Fine Arts Festival is a culmination of art and music. In the Corcoran Theater listen to the beautiful sounds of the Concert Choir, Percussion Ensemble, Maroon & Gold Jazz Band, String Orchestra and The Symphonic Band and Orchestra. Meet and greet the visual artists and see their expressive art in the Stevens Gallery, featuring students from 2D & 3D Art as well as Advanced Photography. This is an evening showcasing the culminated skills of our creative Lancers. On May 4th there will be gallery hours from noon-4:00 p.m. for visitors to enjoy the Fine Arts Festival visual art. Into the Woods Spring Musical
Please come and support our Lancer actors and actresses as they present the musical Into The Woods. Salpointe students get in free. Tickets are available from Salpointeproductions.org. General Admission Adult is $10.00, Children and non-Salpointe students are $8.00, Premium reserved Adult seating is $25.00, Premium reserved seating for Children and non-Salpointe students is $15.00. Performance dates are: April 19 at 7 p.m., April 20 at 7 p.m. and April 21 at 2 p.m. in Corcoran Theater. Tickets will be sold online and at the door. Purchase tickets today by clicking here.

Athletics

African American Athlete Scholars
On October 6, 2023, a statewide search began to find premiere African American male scholar athletes. These Arizona student athletes must exhibit in their lives a commitment to high academic standards and substantive service to their communities. All of these athletes will be recognized at an in-person awards banquet and be featured on video on phxchapter.org website and YouTube. All high school and junior high student athletes are eligible (6th grade-12th grade).   
 
Applicants must meet the following: 
  • Male Student Athlete 
  • Have some African American Heritage 
  • High School or JR High Student (6th grade-12th grade).   
  • 3.0 GPA or Higher 
  • Good Athlete (any sport) 
  • Past Community Service or willing to do some in the future

Early Dismissal/Leaving Campus
Attendance Line number is 520-327-1990.
Please be sure to give at least a two hour notice for your request to be processed. All early dismissal requests are retrieved from voicemail. We do not have an intercom system, we have TAs taking passes to class to get students dismissed.
 
Used Truck Needed
Have a used truck you’d like to donate? Salpointe needs a 2015 or newer, open bed truck with less than 50,000 miles. If you would like to donate it to Salpointe, please contact Todd Schulte at tschulte@salpointe.org. Thank you!
