Principal's February Message

Sr. Helen Timothy, , I.B.V.M.

Salpointe Catholic joins with schools across the country in celebrating Catholic Schools Week!
Salpointe takes great pride in offering outstanding academics and extracurricular activities. From first-rate athletics to exceptional band and theater programs, Salpointe Catholic is the whole package! Salpointe Catholic annually honors outstanding students at a special breakfast during Catholic Schools Week. We celebrate significant contributions made by students in our educational community. A sample of this year’s award winners includes:

Jack Mandala '18: “Everybody matters in Jack’s world! He is never afraid to follow his own values and convey a warm and charismatic sense of companionship to others,” said Mrs. Ossowski.

Carmen Rivero '19: “Carmen is a marvelous student who is always attentive, thorough, and excited to learn. She represents how a Lancer should act and live. Carmen always brightens my day,” said Mrs. Lee.

Congratulations to all of our 85 award winners!

Salpointe Catholic is accredited by the Western Catholic Education Association (WCEA). Our accreditation is up for renewal in
March 2019. Accreditation provides a periodic schoolwide self-study of all aspects of our school programs and operations for current success and long-term viability. This process will involve all members of our school community. Your opinions and input will be vital as we evaluate our total academic program.

Please watch your email for the WCEA Parent Survey. We invite you to take the time to offer your insights on all aspects of Lancer life. The study will highlight the following principles of education:

Catholic Identity - Organizational Efficacy - Teaching and Learning - Student Support Program - Stewardship of Material Resources

In late Fall, Pope Francis urged all of us in Catholic education “to be builders of a more united and peaceful world.” Please join with all of us at Salpointe Catholic in this noble effort.
